Experience Overview
Take in views of the shifting sands and learn the stories of our beautiful coastal town with a professional photographer and local history expert.
You'll love this because
We'll take footage of Dreamland, England's oldest amusement park.
We'll lunch at the gallery named after J.M.W. Turner, and look out at the seaviews he painted.
We'll discover hidden 'vintage' gems in Margate's characterful old town.
The experience is an easy two-hour stroll along flat terrain.
What you will do
We’ll start the walk with some photos of Rosie, the red bus on the beach, then over to the country’s oldest surviving amusement park, Dreamland, for some nostalgic footage. A stroll through the old town, then along the harbour arm, and a photo session featuring Antony Gormley’s 'Another Time' sculpture in the sea (tide permitting!). We’ll end in the café at one of the UK’s leading galleries, Turner Contemporary, for coffee, cake, and views to the sea.
What's included
You'll get a local guide, a photographer, and a carefully planned route through the evocative, eclectic parts of Margate, plus coffee and cake at a beautiful venue with stunning seaviews.
What I might need
Comfy shoes, a bottle of water, a keen eye for detail, and a camera (smart phone is fine) - and an umbrella (this is England!)
