We'll explore the hidden history of Gloucester through its buildings and surroundings. Discover a hidden medieval merchant’s house. Visit ancient religious buildings and Roman remains. Find out where Gloucester’s famous people were born. Gloucester is a city like no other with a unique history. At the end of this tour, you will have discovered some of her secrets. Other things to note: The walk may take as long as 1 and a half hours depending on participant's mobility, number of questions asked etc. Please take this into account when planning your onward activities. Wear good walking shoes, a warm coat in cold weather and a brolly for inclement weather!

About the host

Hi, my name is Christine and I am the author of several local history books about Gloucester and have a wealth of knowledge about the city's vast history. Books to date: Secret Gloucester, Gloucester in 50 Buildings, Gloucester's Military Legacy and Gloucester at Work. I also write fiction set in Gloucester.
