Experience Unmissable England

Experience the Unmissable

Our coastline, countryside and national protected landscapes offer some of England’s best kept secrets and stories, timeless rural life, full of history and culture.

Unmissable England has created a new collection of authentic and original visitor experiences from Cornwall to Cumbria, run by small businesses and local people. Each curated experience tells a story, where visitors can fully immerse themselves with the essence of a place and its people.

Unmissable England has been designed to harness the ever-growing demand across regional England for authentic curated experiences, which give visitors memorable travel adventures, that are inherently personal and make connections on an emotional level.

Each experience is bookable through the Unmissable England website (www.unmissableengland.com). From experiencing Bath with your taste buds, discovering the wild North Cornwall coast by ebike, paddling your way to the pub in Norfolk, to trekking fells of the Lake District with llamas.

Founder Chris Brant says: “As a tourism business advisor and experience maker myself, I’ve seen a change before Covid-19 and as we come out of lockdown in these types of activities both domestic and inbound visitors are now looking for. Visitors want to get beneath the surface of a place, connect with local people, hear their stories and have a hands-on adventure.

Lockdown has given us the opportunity to work with an amazing collection of small businesses and passionate individuals across the country in developing these curated experiences. We aim to be the home of authentic experiences and continue to onboard new experience providers in the coming months”.

Unmissable England has been a concept since 2019, having identified a gap in the marketplace for a central platform where consumers can book the very best authentic experiences away from the hustle and bustle of larger towns and cities. There are currently over 60 experiences on Unmissable England, with more being added every week.

Chris has played an active role in developing the concept of experience based tourism in England. He was Project Manager for the VisitEngland Discover England programme working with ten National Parks, creating over 70 new experiences to take to the overseas markets in North America, Germany and Australia and later to domestic consumers.

For participating businesses, the services on offer go beyond that of a conventional web platform. Unmissable England’s services include distributing the experience as an online travel agent, marketing each experience reaching relevant audiences, assisting individual businesses through the creation and development process and providing ongoing support and advice.

So far during the pandemic, Unmissable England has delivered over 90 hours of experiential tourism training and one-to-one business support on behalf of Destination Management Organisations across the country.
