Experience Overview

The experience celebrates CJ Sansom’s best-selling novel Tombland and looks at Norwich at the time of Kett's Rebellion (1549).

What you will do

Meet outside the historic Maids Head Hotel in Tombland. The route then goes through Norwich Cathedral Close, before heading down Bishopgate to the 14th century Bishop's Bridge, before going up Kett's Hill to Kett's Heights where Robert Kett had his headquarters in 1549. We enjoy the fabulous view of Norwich from Kett's Heights, then go back down the hill, past the site of the Battle of Palace Plain and return to the Maids Head.

Coffee or Tea at the Maids Head Hotel at the end of the tour.
