Northumberland Relaxed and Scenic Guided 4x4 Tour

Experience Overview

Starting with teas and coffee at St Marys Inn, we will leave in convoy and head into rural Northumberland by its many B-roads and green lanes.

What you will do

This is an activity that requires your own 4x4 vehicle (no SUV's) as we will be traversing some of the finest green lanes that Northumberland has to offer. This is a relaxed and scenic tour, so will be suitable for all 4x4 vehicles, with limited chance for damage to your vehicle. We will leave after a morning briefing over a hot drink at the gorgeous St Marys Inn, taking in four green lanes and a water crossing on route to our first stop for lunch at the idyllic Igram Valley Café. After lunch we work our way eastwards towards the market town of Wooler, where we can stop for further refreshments and fuel. After this we will take in two further lanes as we head back towards Morpeth, where the final stop will be at the Anglers Arms, in the hamlet of Weldon Bridge. You will be able to stay and enjoy some of the superb food that they have to offer should you wish.

What's included

Morning tea or coffee at St. Marys Inn, Farewell drink at the Anglers Arms.. Walkie talkies provided for each vehicle for communication and instructions. Full recovery equipped lead vehicle.

What I might need

Guests are advised to bring good walking shoes, waterproof clothing (Northumberland Weather can be temperamental) - Money or card payment for lunch and we recommend at least a half a tank of fuel.

About the host

Andrew has extensive experience of the Northumberland Countryside and Green Lane knowledge. We are members of Glass, the federation that regulates and supports Green Lanes within the UK. Also during the experience, we will be taking photographs and videos for you to look back andreplay the experience that you've had during your day.
