What you will do

Up and over we go as we drive across the stunning passes and experience the ancient fell landscapes of one of Europe’s most beautiful national parks, The Yorkshire Dales National Park. We take in the sights of various ancient villages, as well as the foreboding Bolton Castle. We arrive in the sublimely delightful, peaceful market town of Masham A perfect place for a swift tea or coffee before we adventure into the rugged and inspiring beauty of the Dales. Our journey from here takes us through idyllic villages, across remote moors via ancient woodland and mighty water falls. We typically stop in Askrigg for lunch, a village so old it features in the famous Domesday Book of AD 1086. Then we arrive at the stark, eerie and historically fascinating Bolton Castle, From Bolton Castle we head into remote Swaledale and beyond.

What I might need

The weather in Yorkshire is changeable. Please bring layered warm clothing which is somewhat waterproof. Comfortable shoes are also advised.
